If you are new to bowling you can use the club&#8217;s bowls until you are ready to buy your own.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>New bowls will usually cost from \u00a360 upwards. Second Hand from \u00a340.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other equipment you will need include a mat, jack and set of measures, these are all available from the club.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>What footwear do I need?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Whilst on the green you must wear flat soles &#8211; for example trainers or pumps, this is to prevent damage to the green.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Do I need special clothing?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>No, casual clothing is fine. In Crown Green bowling it is not customary for players to wear white outfits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Club has its own branded sportwear which is often worn by teams competing in league competitions, but this is entirely optional.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Does the club provide tuition?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Yes, the Club can arrange coaching on a one to one or group basis for new and less experienced bowlers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>What are the match fees?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To play in any league match, a fee of \u00a31 is payable for each match. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>How much does it cost to join?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you would like to play bowls, the annual membership fee is \u00a390, for those under 18 half the annual subscription fee . This includes the cost of a lifetime registration with the British Crown Green Bowling Association. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>If you don&#8217;t wish to bowl, you can join as a Social Member for one third of the Annual Subscription.
